Venue 2026 - Academy of Silesia

Academy of Silesia is a modern, non-public university established in 2003 (formerly known as the University of Technology in Katowice). Its main campus is located in Katowice, with additional branches in Zabrze (Faculty of Medical Sciences named after Prof. Z. Religa) and Rybnik.
The Academy offers a wide range of study programs in technical, artistic, medical, and social sciences. The Faculty of Architecture, Civil Engineering and Applied Arts includes programs such as Architecture, Civil Engineering, Design (fashion and jewelry), Graphics, and Computer Science. The Faculty of Medical Sciences offers Medical Studies, Nursing, Emergency Medicine, and Physiotherapy. The Faculty of Social and Human Sciences provides programs in Management. Students can choose full-time, part-time, or postgraduate studies, as well as various professional training courses.

The university's mission is to prepare students for the modern job market through innovative and practice-oriented education. It emphasizes interdisciplinarity, high teaching standards, and scientific development, including the possibility of pursuing doctoral and post-doctoral degrees.

Location of the conference venue

The Academy of Silesia is located at 43 Rolna Street in Katowice, in the Ligota district, about a 10-minute drive from the city canter. It is easily accessible by car from the A4 motorway and national roads DK81 and DK86. Parking is available on campus and nearby.

From Katowice Main Railway Station, take a local train to Katowice Ligota (about 7 minutes, operated by Silesian Railways (Koleje Śląskie)). From Ligota station, it’s a 10-minute walk or a short bus ride (lines 37, 51, 297, 657) to the Academy of Silesia.

From Katowice city canter, take buses no. 37, 51, 297, or 657 to the stop “Rolna Akademia Śląska,” located right next to the campus.

The nearest airport is Katowice Airport (Pyrzowice), about 35 km from the city. Take the AP1 bus or a shuttle to Katowice city canter, then continue by train to Katowice Ligota station or by bus no. 37, 51, 297, or 657 towards Ligota.
